Our client is a prestigeous member of the wholesale banking sector, and we are seeking for experienced Banking Application Support Managers to work permanently at the E-distribution department in Utrecht - Holland.
Department: IS&D E-Distribution
As a professional partner to the business IS&D aims to provide the best IT solutions to several International (RI) departments. This consists of: new business development and also includes maintaining and supporting the developed applications. The majority of project activities is done for the RI/RN (National) Wholesale Business production chain that includes all front-, mid-, back office departments and related Compliance, Risk management, Finance & Control and HR departments.
E-Distribution department develops – the Bank's International electronic distribution proposition in cooperation with wholesale business area and, as a result, executes e-commerce projects to realise the requested functionality. E-Distribution is also responsible for support and maintenance of these electronic distribution applications and service lines.
Job Purpose:
The 4 E-Commerce services of E-Distribution are defined as:
- Information: Distribution of bank's research, rates and prices, internal as well as external news, and product information via internet based platforms
- Transactions: Internal as well as external systems aimed at providing RI Client entities with an electronic means to transact with RI: a live site is the portal towards Foreign Exchange and Money Market Transactions for corporate clients and small and medium enterprises;
- Reporting: Providing both internal and external clients with reporting tools on transactions closed with RI;
- Solutions: Internet based tools to facilitate RI clients and internal departments with their business.
Your Function
As Team Manager Application Support you will be responsible for a group of approximately 15 application support analysts. The Application Support team is lined up to perform technical maintenance and support on the E-Distribution application environments. Apart from that, application support analysts play an important role in projects in order to ensure the development and installation of new and enhanced applications and/or environments are according to the Application Support team’s standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Team Manager your time will be distributed between 2 major tasks:
50% of your time managing the team;
50% participating in larger projects and/or performing quality assurance on the projects.
Activities
Dealing with HR affairs, staff management and coaching employees to further develop their competences;
Analysing research on procedures and methods and recommend changes for improvement, with an emphasis on automation and efficiency;
Benchmarking activities to identify best practices;
Day-to-day management of technical support activities and team;
Determine and divide activities necessary to maintain and support both production and test environments together with other parties;
Determine and allocate necessary resources from your team to participate in projects
Managing internal quality;
Responsible for further professionalizing the support organisation;
Requirements:
(Project) Management experience;
Experience with technical application support;
Banking experience, preferably in wholesale banking products and services.
